Because I have a soft spot for weddings here are some elegant and simple dresses from Saja Wedding...

Every where I look on Facebook, everyone is getting married! I guess I'm just at that stage in my life where it's happening all around me. Luckily I'm already married and beat the rush!
But then I saw this Gown Gallery by Vera Wang and almost rang my husband to tell him that we need to have the wedding again. I am just swooning over these dresses!! I've realised how much my style has changed since I was looking at dresses for my wedding. Here are some of my faves...

Some wonderful and very clever designers have put in their sketches, envisioning what Bella's wedding dress could look like for the last movie/book in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn. If you haven't read the book, I guess I just gave away one part of the plot. Sorry! But designers Monique L'Hullier, Erin Fetherston, Bryan Reyes, Max Azria, Prabal Gurung, Lela Rose, Christian Siriano, Badgley Mischka, and Zac Posen each had a go and you can check them out here. My personal faves are the Monique L'Hullier (first sketch) and Prabal Gurung (second sketch - go Nepal!) dresses.
Seeing these makes me more excited about the upcoming movie, New Moon! Hurry up November!
The most romantic and creative proposal I have ever seen! Amazing!

Today I just received our official wedding photos - F I N A L L Y - and it brought back so many wonderful and blurry (because of time - not because of alcohol!) memories. I know that in previous posts I have gone on about how I wish I did this, wish I did that...but from revisiting our day through the photos, I realised that it was a beautiful day. I loved the vibrant coloured theme of our wedding and the relaxed atmosphere - the less stress the better! Our photographer was Kent Marcus and here are some photos from the big day...

p.s. Jamie-Lynn: if you are reading this, I have some HILARIOUS photos of Dean!

i love love love this simple wedding dress by samuelle couture. it just makes me want to have a civil wedding (you know how i want to renew my husband & i's wedding vows every year with a different themed wedding - like Seal & Heidi!).
see even civil ceremonies can be beautiful!

for quite a while now, Turkey has been on the top of my 'must visit' list, along with Egypt, Costa Rica and Peru - and pretty much the rest of the world! but after reading about sailing on a yacht on the Mediterranean sea, searching through ancient kingdoms and browsing the many bazaars, it really stole my heart because of its diversity since being a prime 'east meets west' stepping stone.
anyway, here is just a small example of [beautiful] Western/Mediterranean influence on Turkey's blue shores, that i will one day take a dip in!

if i had my wedding over...this song would play...because "lucky i am in love with my best friend"
i absolutely adore this video clip!

my husband says i write essays for blog posts, so i'm going to let the images speak for themselves...One Love Photo...i love...

well like i said in my previous post...i am filled with love and wedding bugs! so i had to post this story. it definitely raises the bar for unique and very very romantic proposals!
As the couple walked across the Brooklyn Bridge this past weekend, strangers handed her pink balloons and love notes. (He had asked his friends to stand on the other side of the bridge with a bunch of balloons and give the balloons to strangers, who would, in turn, hand them to her. The first balloon was given to her by his friend, who she wouldn't recognize. How clever!)
Her story:
* When we started taking a walk, he was acting jittery and was really chatty. He also missed our transfer on the subway which never happens. He's normally very calm and collected. I was a little suspicious.
* We started walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. Strangers were handing me pink balloons, and too many things were going through my mind--just random thoughts like he is so cute, who are these people, wow I'm really lucky, doesn't this only happen in the movies? Is this real? He loves me, doesn't he?
* When he proposed, I felt really excited, happy and a little dazed!
His story:
* I was nervous and excited. As we walked, strangers gave her pink balloons and love notes. The notes were handwritten messages to her which reminded her of why I loved her and why I wanted to marry her.
* Now, I'm so happy and excited about the future.

i just wanted to share this inspiring wedding image i found on 'a cup of jo' blog. it has filled me with love and wedding bugs!
My Wedding - by bezzieboo on Polyvore.com
It is any girls' proudest day, when she gets to marry the man of her dreams and carry out her childhood planning of wedding dresses, flowers, hair do's and rings! Well my day was just as wonderful as I have always dreamed...actually it felt just like a dream! And only now that I can look at it in hindsight do I realise how blessed we were to have wonderful sunshine. Here is an inspiration board I threw together on Polyvore with all the images I used to make my wedding day.

On the final leg of our honeymoon we stayed at a cute boutique hotel in Bangkok called 'Salil Hotel'. It was cosy and newly renovated with "Thai-Colonial" architecture. It's decently priced and close to the Sky Train (which means your shopping within no time). We enjoyed it, except it was booked out and we got stuck with a smoking room - yuk!

At the moment I'm trying to find some potted flowering plants to add some colour to our apartment, and its led me to wishing that I had Peonies at my wedding this past January. They are girlie like a daisy, and not formal like a rose. What I love the most are the vibrant colours they come in, and the shades of colours that are present on each flower.
